Before McDermott, David spent 11 years with Technip S.A. and its subsidiaries, including as President of Technip U.S.A., Inc., with oversight responsibilities for all of Technip’s North America Operations. He was also Vice President and Operations Manager for Technip U.S.A.’s SURF (Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines) segment. He joined Technip in 2002 with the task of growing the Company’s market position in subsea installation, now the largest subsea company in the Gulf of Mexico.
David has more than 30 years of experience in the offshore oilfield engineering and construction industry holding various management positions in market development, project management, engineering, and construction.
He is an honors graduate of the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Naval Architecture.
