Almost seven years after voters approved spending money to beautify Greensboro’s historic districts, markers, obelisks, archways, and trees are going up throughout College Hill.

Already, city workers have installed a granite marker at Spring and McGee streets, indicating the eastern entrance to the historic neighborhood. Another is going up at the corner of Spring Garden and Fulton streets, in front of the Ronny Barnes Original Fitness Training Center.“We’re very pleased with the results of the landscape architect and the entrance signs,’ said Rich Jackson, president of the College Hill Neighborhood Association.
